Hydro Glow HG Series Tech Specs

When to Use

Hydro Glow Fishing Light Rods can be used for ice, boat, kayak, shallow water or deep water fishing in freshwater or saltwater. Hydro Glow makes a variety of sizes to meet your needs. Refer to the chart above for recommended applications.

How to Use

Power Setup: When using an existing 12V battery (battery not included) connect the light power cord to your 12v battery using the included alligator clips. If using an accessory plug (not included) to connect to a 120V or 12V power supply disconnect the alligator clips from the light power cord before connecting the cord to accessory plug and power source.

Light Placement: Once connected to the power source, lower the light off the side of the boat. When it submerges to the desired depth, just tie or clip the cord on a rail or cleat. Underwater fishing lights are easy to use and very effective. Baitfish will be attracted by the underwater lights. Predator fish will usually be deep under the light and a short distance away feeding on the baitfish around the perimeter of the underwater light’s glow.

Ice Fishing Tips

Hydro Glow Fishing Lights can be used in for ice fishing at night too. Just place a 1 ft. long fishing light under the ice. Small baitfish will move toward the light feeding on microscopic plankton. As the schools of baitfish move to the light, so do the predators. For best results move out about 20′ from the light and drill a circular series of holes to fish a larger area.

When to Use

Use the anchored, SF model underwater dock green lights if viewing fish is your primary focus. Use the blue lights to create great aesthetics around waterfront property and private docks.

How to Use

We recommend using one 100-watt light per 30′ or one 200-watt light per 60′ when using multiple lights in turbid water or when using a single light. Installation takes about 5 minutes and does not require an electrician. To install, simply attach a small weight (about 2 pounds) on the cord, drop it in the water and plug the cord into a 120V power source.

If needed, you can add up to 2, 50′ power cord extensions per unit (SF models only). 50′ power cord extensions sold separately.

As will all Hydro Glow dock lights, we recommend turning off any other white lights on the dock. You will be amazed at the amount of fish you will see with the anchored SF underwater lights.

How to Use

Installation is easy. Simply drop the light into the water right off the dock. Let it sink to the desired depth and plug it into any 120V GFCI outlet. We recommend using one 100-watt light per 25 feet when using multiple lights.
